staying at the vanderbilt was a wise choice for me. the location in manhattan is perfect, making it easy to reach all attractions. the rooms, though small, are great value for the price. the shared bathrooms are well-maintained with controlled access. i appreciate the comfortable beds, hot water, and kitchen amenities. also, the laundry room and access to sports equipment were practical and enjoyable. wifi works well, and the overall experience was positive.

My recent stay at this hotel was surprisingly pleasant. the location was excellent, making it easy to explore the city and only a short walk to Times Square. the staff were friendly and always willing to help with any questions. During my stay at the Vanderbilt Ymca in New York for a business trip, I had the opportunity to participate in an instructional swim, which was a fantastic way to destress and stay active. Additionally, I appreciated that all teens aged 12 through 17 are required to complete a fitness equipment orientation before using the fitness facilities. This ensured a safe and comfortable environment for all guests.

The location of the hotel was perfect, right in the heart of everything. We were able to easily access all the sightseeing spots of interest and there were various small parks nearby to relax in. Additionally, there was a convenient store close by, making it easy to grab any necessities we needed. The room was comfortable and had all the necessary facilities, such as a refrigerator and a desk. The staff was friendly and provided helpful tips for exploring the city.

The only downside was that the air conditioning in the room was a bit noisy and there was no way to turn it off.

Visited during Christmas and the hotel had a festive atmosphere. Location was perfect, with Times Square and the UN close by. the hotel offered free access to fitness facilities and I enjoyed using them. Staff was helpful, allowing me to store my bags after check-out for a small fee.

Rooms were basic and small, with bunk beds that felt unsafe. the windows were old and drafty.

The camp activities at this place were awesome! My child had a blast with the engaging sensory experiences, and it truly helped prepare them for the upcoming school year. It was like watching a little explorer discovering hidden treasures!

The location is great with easy access to everything in Manhattan and close to the 6 train for museums and NYC uptown tourist sites. The rooms are clean with daily housekeeping service, and there are multiple semi-private bathrooms on each floor. The low-cost gym and pool are a plus.

Secondly, the staff were friendly and attentive, going out of their way to accommodate my needs. The basic amenities provided were satisfactory, and the room itself had a very comfortable bed which ensured a good night's sleep. Additionally, I appreciated having a fridge in the room, allowing me to store drinks and snacks. considering the value for money and the attention to detail, my stay at this hotel was enjoyable.

I recently stayed at the YMCA in New York for a week while exploring the city. The single room on the "deluxe" 4th floor was clean and comfortable, with a recently refurbished interior and a very cozy bed. The shared bathrooms were also nicely renovated and always stocked with hot water. The location was exceptional, just a few blocks from one of the entrances to Grand Central Terminal and close to a metro station for easy access to downtown Manhattan. The staff were friendly, helpful, and made sure I had fresh sheets and towels every day.
